Micrometer Heads

Micrometer heads are the simplest form of the precision micrometer and are practically the base body for all other precision micrometer shapes. They are used for accurate setting of distances as adjustment or control elements in mechanical assemblies. For example, they are used for the exact positioning of lenses in optical systems. The pitch of the installed threaded spindle is thereby used as solid measure for the movement in the spindle axis and can be read and adjusted easily via an analogue or digital scale. For the adjustment to different environmental conditions and requirements, Feinmess Suhl demonstrates flexibility and efficiency by developing specifically sized builtin screw drives as per client requirements. These are as varied and diverse as their applications. Thus, the following will introduce a cross-section of manufacturing and design possibilities as well as some standard versions.
